Don’t use Black People for Your Agenda!

Hello Democratic Party NOT ALL BLACKS ARE THE SAME! It is time for Black people to stop being the Beach Ball! I have lived in 2 states since being a registered voter both require any voter to have an I.D. to vote! It makes sense! All these White & Black people using the term “Black People” to refer to the reason a Voter I.D. law would be disenfranchising are ridiculous! As far as the whole water issue, or Sunday voting people please, bring your own drinks and get out either earlier or later which ever qualifies. You find ways to bring in snacks to the movies or anywhere else, (white people and Hispanics do it too this is not just a Black thing) and you find time to go to all the church services on Sundays, so if you really WANTED to vote, not having them serve you water or a change in the hours on Sunday can stop you!

“Do you know how dangerous it is for a Black Man to walk the streets of America without any form of identification?” Have you ever heard of “Hey, you! Yeah you fit the description!” As a Black Man I learned a lesson as a Black child to always be able to account for who you are & where you are/have been very early. I watched my older brother be harassed by the police for walking down the street, just because a few blocks over some mess happened (or did it?) which involved a young Black Male regardless of what other characteristics where included. To “fit the description” is a legal yet, illegal tool used for decades by errrr… any Caucasian person police, woman, man, dog, whomever, etc… to blame the closest Black Male around for the crime.

Ever heard of “Driving While Black?” Yeah the phenomenon where a Black person simply driving a vehicle is cause for questioning! That Black person had better have a drivers licensee or else even though they were doing nothing seemingly illegal, the threat of them being Black and driving was enough! Like how dare that Black person drive, especially without Ms. Daisey in the back! Is it racial profiling? Hell yeah it is! It is also an easy collar for that racist police officer and makes him even more confident that Blacks are always breaking the law, regardless of the reason whether it be a simple joy ride, or a trip to the emergency room, there is no room for error & no justification is good enough in their eyes! I know this to be true, I have literally been stopped by the police on both of those mentioned situations for NO apparent reason!

I say this because it boils down to responsibility a Black American should always have a legally recognized form of identification, regardless of if they vote or not! A picture ID is an element of self defense, like a night stick is for a police officer. I know as a Black man this fact is 1 not overlooked by our community, so we should not allow the Democratic Party to use us a scapegoat for their battle with republicans against voting rights laws. We aren’t too dumb or poor NOT to have a form of I.D. needed to go about our life.

No! No I don’t think drive-up voting is needed, it makes no sense. The pandemic is pretty much a part of regular life now, we are doing everything we love doing again, people can get out their car and go vote. Again if you can get out the car and go in the movie, then if you actually care that much about voting you should be able to do that too! This of all the provisions is the worst. It makes people look lazy and trifling honestly, and of course which race of Americans do they attach with needing it oh so bad, BLACK Americans! Like we all of a sudden became too handicapped to go vote, like we have been doing since we started voting. Really? That is insulting! We as Black people head every type of business etc… you can think of in America let alone the world, so yes we are capable of voting the traditional way.

The only minority people in America that do not have an ID would be immigrants coming across the border. All this voter ID outrage has absolutely NOTHING to do with the welfare or rights of Black people. Blacks know and understand that a drivers license, or state picture ID which shows your picture, address and name all match up with the voter information they have on file makes common sense. We are used to it! It is not only Black people who have to show a picture ID, EVERYONE has to show an ID! It is pretty degrading the Democratic Party acts as if Blacks are still living through Jim Crow or even worse slavery era lifestyles and persecution as if we are either too poor or dumb to even have an acceptable for of identification needed to do even the most mundane things in life, let alone vote!

The Republicans are so dumb and scared to alienate the racists in their own party they wont even call the Democrats out for this foolishness. Neither one of these parties are capable of doing anything in the benefit to the Black community the Republicans pretty much ignore Blacks, and Democrats enslave Blacks mentally with smiles and handouts. Malcolm X said it best in his speech “The Ballot or The Bullet” I will not quote it but he explains how the different parties basically disregard the Black and use the Black American as a rag to wipe the butt of America at the polls.

In closing Black people need to stop being used as pawns for the gain of whomever sees fit. We basically sell or even better lease ourselves into slavery/sharecropping for the Democratic Party as they see fit. All these anti-voter suppression laws have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do about protecting Blacks and our power to vote. Keeping it all the way real whenever you constantly have to beg for people to go vote, the real question is why don’t they care enough to just vote? That is the only issue we have as Black people, we need enough of us to care about voting as much as they care about clubbing or chruching!

Black people find ways to do WHATEVER we actually want to do! The real simple fact is a lot of people don’t actually think their vote counts or matters, therefore they aren’t interested in actually voting for the most part. Yes, they will vote after being prodded, and catered too etc… and basically begged, but at that point with no real personal engagement or excitement about the process leads to no expectation or concern about the outcome either. It is still a wasted vote! As we become the 3rd largest population in America soon to be if not already passed by the Hispanic/Latino population we need to realize the concern for us is gone! These laws and issues the Democratic Party are concerned with are for the new people citizens or not of the United States of America.

We need to stop the practice of “Black Business As Usual, Save Everyone Else Politics!” Our cape has too many holes in it.
